Shisha charcoal HMD compatibility
A size label is the starting point for a setup check.
Evaluate the measured charcoal format with the actual HMD, lid, bowl and intended count. Physical fit and application response need separate records before a buyer approves the combination.
Keep one compatibility checklist per configuration.

Perform the initial fit check with cold, unlit equipment. Record application observations separately. A blank field is unresolved, not a pass; agree acceptance criteria before interpreting results.
01 · Define the setup
Compatibility belongs to a specific device and routine.
Shisha charcoal HMD compatibility means evaluating a charcoal format with an identified heat management device, bowl and operating routine. A cube-size label alone cannot establish whether the intended count fits or how the combination responds during use.
Record the device make, model and version, including the base and lid actually used. Keep the bowl model, seating arrangement and preparation details alongside the sample ID and grade. Similar-looking devices should not be treated as interchangeable evidence.
Use the manufacturer’s intended configuration and operating guidance. This buyer checklist is a proposed evaluation record, not a device certification or a universal approval standard. Confirm the exact combination used by the customer or lounge before selecting samples.
02 · Dimensions and fit
Check measured pieces in the usable space.
Record measured width, depth and height for multiple identified unlit pieces rather than relying only on nominal dimensions. Include the observed dimensional spread and edge condition; a single convenient piece does not describe every cube in the inspected sample.
With the equipment cold and unlit, inspect the usable base area, depth, wall shape and internal features. Place the intended count in its planned orientation and document the arrangement with photos. Note whether pieces sit as intended or interfere with walls, ridges or other features.
Check the actual combination rather than calculating capacity from outer device dimensions. Record piece IDs and any pieces that cannot fit under the stated arrangement. Do not force a fit, alter the device or turn an unsupported stacked arrangement into a compatibility recommendation.
03 · Lid clearance
Test the intended lid position and operating movement.
Check clearance using the exact lid, orientation and intended settings. Record whether it reaches its intended position, whether any cube touches it, and whether vents or adjustment parts can move through the positions used in the trial.
Cube height, placement and dimensional variation belong in this record. Where a clearance measurement is feasible, state the measurement reference and method; otherwise use a clearly described observation. Do not invent a minimum gap that applies to every HMD.
If the intended count only works with the lid removed or in a different position, record that as a different configuration. An open-device fit check does not establish compatibility for a closed-lid operating routine.
04 · Airflow and contact
Keep spacing and contact points visible.
Map gaps between pieces, their relationship to vents and the contact points with the device base, walls or other pieces. Record the arrangement before ignition and its observed changes during use. Avoid hiding these details behind a simple fits or does-not-fit label.
Size and arrangement can change the spaces available around pieces and the areas in contact with the device. These are evaluation variables; a visible gap or a larger contact area alone does not predict a particular heat result.
Keep device ventilation settings and the customer’s operating routine documented. If a vent setting or arrangement changes during the trial, time-stamp the change. Compare observed response under the declared configuration instead of assuming that all devices handle airflow in the same way.
05 · Count and rotation
Check operating room as well as initial capacity.
Record intended cube count and the measured total unlit starting mass of each trial portion. Equal counts can contain different fuel masses. If another format requires a different count to fit, identify it as a separate operating configuration.
Assess whether the specified handling tool can reach and reposition the pieces under the intended procedure. Document space for rotation, movement and planned replacement, including whether moving one cube affects neighbouring pieces or requires a lid-setting change.
Initial fit is only the first check. Retain observations of the arrangement as pieces change during operation and after documented interventions. Do not equate the maximum number that physically fits with the preferred operating count.
06 · Heat response
Measure the application result under a written method.
Use an identified sample and the same defined ignition-completion criterion, transfer timing, bowl preparation and observation intervals for comparable trials. Record starting count and mass, initial placement, lid and vent settings, and the usable-heat endpoint selected before testing.
Log observed response over time, adjustments, rotations, additions and replacement timing. Separate instrument readings from operator observations and identify the measurement method if an instrument is used. A single isolated temperature reading does not describe the full operating routine.
When comparing sizes in one device, state whether count or mass is held constant and list the remaining differences. When comparing devices, retain each configuration’s identity. Repeat trials using the same plan and keep mixed results instead of attributing every difference to the charcoal.
07 · Buyer decision
Approve the tested combination and retain its limits.
Summarize physical fit, lid clearance, airflow arrangement, contact points, operating room and observed heat response separately. Define the buyer’s acceptance criteria before reviewing the results and record unresolved or uncertain observations.
For distributors serving several lounges or device types, create a separate checklist for each material combination. Results from one device and bowl should not be expanded into an all-HMD compatibility claim. Obtain the customer’s exact setup or clearly limit the sample-review scope.
Retain trial IDs, photos, measurements, interventions and reviewer decisions. Use this evidence to discuss sample selection with the supplier. No cube size, device, foil setup or operating condition is presented here as universally superior.
Connect device fit to sample evidence.
Review the cube-size guide, follow the burn-test protocol, and declare the count and mass comparison basis. Confirm current grades on the shisha charcoal product page.
Before claiming HMD compatibility
Does one cube-size label guarantee device fit?
No. Check measured pieces, the intended count, usable space, exact lid and bowl combination.
Does initial fit establish application performance?
No. Retain clearance and operating-room checks, then run identified application trials under a written method.
Can results from one HMD apply to every model?
No. Record the exact model and version, and limit the decision to the configurations tested.
Should the largest count that fits be the operating count?
Not automatically. Evaluate the intended manufacturer-supported configuration, airflow arrangement, handling room and observed response.
Share the exact cube requirement and setup.
Send Unimax the exact cube dimensions and grade, HMD make/model/version, lid, bowl, intended count and operating settings, plus pack requirement, country and monthly volume. Request current specifications and identified samples for the customer’s actual setup.
Discuss cube requirementsCompare the operating routines explicitly.
Use the foil-versus-HMD comparison worksheet to retain preheat, spacing, airflow, ash handling and replacement records for each setup.
Compare candidate charcoal within each device.
Use the cross-HMD test matrix to keep device identity, fuel mass, vent/lid history and operator interventions with each trial.
