Shisha charcoal shipping marks

Make the carton identifiable to the people receiving it.

Shipping marks work when their meaning matches the documents and warehouse process. Use a controlled field register so copied references, outdated counts and different weight bases are caught before dispatch.

01 · Receiving identity

Agree consignee or neutral marks before artwork release.

Shisha charcoal shipping marks should help the receiving team connect a physical carton to the intended order and contents. Start with the buyer’s destination and warehouse instructions, then record the exact identity that should appear on the carton.

Ask whether the buyer requests named consignee marks or an agreed neutral identifier. Neutral marks still need a usable link to the shipment and receiving records; they should not make the cartons impossible to reconcile.

Assign the buyer contact who approves the text and the supplier contact who confirms marking feasibility. This checklist does not establish destination-label compliance or replace a current review of applicable shipment requirements.

02 · PO, SKU and carton sequence

Keep order, product and carton references distinct.

Record the purchase-order reference and product or SKU identity exactly as approved by the buyer. Check capitalization, punctuation and version changes against the corresponding order and warehouse records rather than manually shortening them on artwork.

For carton numbers, define the agreed numbering scope: the complete shipment, a product group or another documented grouping. If a total carton count is printed, specify how it is finalized and what happens when the packed quantity changes.

For mixed SKUs, partial shipments or different pack configurations, preserve a clear mapping between carton ranges and contents. A sequence number alone does not identify product grade, quantity or lot; the packing record must explain the relationship.

03 · Net weight, gross weight and dimensions

Use the measured packed configuration and explicit units.

Keep net charcoal weight separate from gross packed carton weight. Record the quantity basis, unit and approved expression for each field; a selling-unit net quantity should not be substituted for the complete carton’s fuel quantity.

Confirm outer dimensions from the agreed closed, loaded carton configuration. State length × width × height with units and keep internal fit dimensions separate. Link the measurement record to the pack and carton revision.

Reconcile per-carton figures with the packing-list basis and shipment totals. Carton gross weight and a broader shipping-weight figure may cover different packaging scope, so record the boundary rather than forcing unlike figures to match.

04 · Origin and lot reference

Use verified wording and a retrievable identity.

Confirm proposed origin wording from the actual product information and submit it for the buyer’s intended-market review. Do not infer origin from the dispatch port or trading-company address, or carry wording over from another product without checking it.

Agree how the carton lot reference links to the unit packs and relevant packing or production records. If a carton contains more than one group, record the relationship rather than implying that every unit has the same production identity.

Check readability and placement on an identified packed sample. Preserve code photographs and document references so receiving staff can resolve a discrepancy without guessing an unclear character.

05 · Handling and destination instructions

Approve symbols and text for their actual purpose.

Collect the buyer’s requested handling symbols, orientation notes and destination instructions with their source and owner. Ask the responsible packaging or logistics reviewer to confirm applicability to the actual carton and handling arrangement.

A handling symbol communicates an instruction; it does not prove moisture protection, stacking strength or any other packaging performance. Confirm the underlying pack requirement separately instead of using a symbol to conceal missing evidence.

This guide does not supply transport classifications or mandatory transport marks. Have the responsible logistics and intended-market reviewers confirm applicable requirements before release. Confirm supported printing or labeling methods with the actual production contact.

06 · Document and warehouse reconciliation

Review one approved field register across all references.

Use a single register to compare the proposed marks with the PO, commercial invoice, packing list, warehouse receiving instructions and approved carton artwork. Compare the meaning and quantity basis of each field, not just whether the same characters appear.

Assign the owner of each source and record discrepancies, corrections and replacement versions. Not every field must appear on every document; agree the required mapping and ensure staff can connect the carton to the appropriate record.

If the warehouse uses an additional receiving code or barcode, identify its owner, intended use and verification scope. Do not assume that an artwork graphic establishes system acceptance or that barcode support is available without confirmation.

07 · Proof, loading and arrival

Check the physical marks and control late changes.

Review the identified carton proof against the field register and approved artwork revision. Check spelling, numbering, units, placement and legibility on the agreed sample, then record approve, revise or hold with a named reviewer.

Before dispatch, reconcile the final carton counts and contents with the current packing record. Preserve marking photographs and approved references. If a late count or destination change affects marks, update the affected records and approval before treating the cartons as released.

At arrival, record actual carton references, counts and discrepancies before losing the outer packaging. Link any mismatch to the receipt record for follow-up. For repeat orders, recheck changed PO, SKU, quantity, route and packing revision rather than assuming old marks remain correct.

Shipping marks questions

Can neutral marks replace a consignee name?

Use them only within the buyer-approved arrangement and preserve a clear link to receiving and shipment records.

Should net and gross weight be identical?

No. Define net fuel quantity separately from complete packed carton weight and record units and scope.

Does a handling symbol prove packaging performance?

No. It communicates an instruction; the corresponding packaging requirement needs separate evidence.

What should change if final carton counts change?

Review affected numbering, totals, packing records and proofs, then obtain updated approval before release.

Send the receiving instructions with the packaging requirement.

Send Unimax the country, buyer type, volume and application details. Include the product, pack concept, requested marks and warehouse instructions, then ask for supported marking scope and review inputs.
