Compare shisha charcoal quotations
Lower on the page may mean less in the offer.
A quotation is a defined commercial scope. A lower number can refer to a different grade, less net charcoal, a simpler pack or excluded work. Put those differences into a comparison worksheet before negotiating.
Use one requirement version for all suppliers and preserve their original quotation references. Convert units only after the product and quantity basis are clear; then resolve scope differences with a revised offer.

| Cube dimensions | Length × width × height and agreed tolerances. | ________ | ________ | ________ |
| Inner pack / carton | Format, packs per carton, net weight or count and private-label scope. | ________ | ________ | ________ |
| Quantity / price unit | Net charcoal quantity, unit and currency. | ________ | ________ | ________ |
| Loading basis | Container, carton count, net product quantity and loading assumptions. | ________ | ________ | ________ |
| Delivery scope | Incoterm, edition, named location and destination. | ________ | ________ | ________ |

| Validity / timing | Quote reference, expiry and schedule assumptions. | ________ | ________ | ________ |
| Extra charges / exclusions | One-time work, recurring charges and unresolved items. | ________ | ________ | ________ |
Keep separate: original quoted amount / confirmed comparable-scope subtotal / unresolved items. An unknown exclusion is not a zero-cost item.
01 · Product equivalence
Match the offered product before comparing the number.
For an importer, distributor or brand owner, a wholesale shisha charcoal cost is meaningful only when it describes the intended product. Begin with the offered grade and specification reference, cube length × width × height, dimensional tolerances, acceptance criteria and identified sample status. A grade name alone does not establish equivalence across suppliers.
Record the actual offered values and supporting references alongside your request. If a supplier proposes a different size, specification or pack, label it as an alternative offer. Do not silently replace the buyer requirement with that alternative because its headline price is lower.
Keep sample evidence connected to the quotation. If a product has not been evaluated, mark approval pending rather than treating quoted claims as demonstrated performance. An attractive commercial scope still needs the product and supplier review appropriate to your order.
02 · Pack and quantity
Use net charcoal quantity as the denominator.
List the inner-pack format, declared net charcoal weight or guaranteed piece count, packs per carton and carton configuration. Separate product weight from packaging and gross shipment weight. A carton count cannot be converted into charcoal mass unless the net product quantity per carton is known.
Where an offer is priced per carton, the price per kilogram of net charcoal equals carton price divided by declared net charcoal kilograms per carton. A metric-tonne price can be divided by 1,000 to express the same quoted scope per kilogram. These conversions align units; they do not make unlike grades or delivery scopes equivalent.
For an illustrative calculation without market prices: a carton containing 12 packs of 1 kg net charcoal contains 12 kg net product. Divide its quoted carton price by 12, not by the gross shipping weight. Confirm that the pack declaration is actually for net charcoal before using the calculation. A piece-count offer needs a confirmed mass basis if you intend to compare it per kilogram.
03 · Loading basis
A container label is not a confirmed product quantity.
Record the proposed container type, carton count, net product quantity, gross shipment weight and loading arrangement used in each offer. Ask whether the proposed pack and any palletization are included in that basis. Avoid comparing a container total from one offer with a tonne price from another until the quantity assumptions are aligned.
Distinguish a preliminary loading estimate from an agreed order quantity and a final shipment record. Packing configuration and the loading plan require confirmation for the actual product. Do not use a generic payload taken from another supplier or another SKU as the denominator for this quotation.
If the quantities differ, request comparable quantity options or record that the offers remain different in volume. Unit conversion alone does not remove a quantity-dependent pricing difference. This guide does not publish a fixed container payload, MOQ or order-volume commitment.
04 · Delivery and documents
Write down the offered scope and the named location.
Record the Incoterm, edition, named place or port, destination and the included and excluded services exactly as offered. Ask for clarification when the location or term is incomplete. This worksheet records the commercial basis; it does not interpret transport responsibilities or replace review of the delivery agreement.
List each required shipment document and whether its preparation or related charge is included, excluded or unresolved. Use the requirements confirmed for your order and logistics plan. An assurance that export documents are included is too broad if your team still does not know which records it means.
Compare offers for the same agreed scope, or request a revised quotation that makes them comparable. Keep separately sourced transport or other charges visible and label their source, date and validity. An unknown cost is pending, not zero. A supplier quotation subtotal is not automatically your complete destination cost.
05 · Currency, validity and charges
Separate recurring product costs from one-time work.
Record currency, price unit, quote date, quotation reference and validity period. If currencies differ, use one recorded conversion basis and date for an internal comparison, while preserving the original currencies and amounts. Reconfirm an expired offer before relying on it for an order decision.
Identify setup, artwork, printing, prototype, inspection or other order-specific charges separately where applicable. Ask whether they are included, charged once, charged per order, or subject to a stated condition. An optional service should stay separate unless every supplier is being compared with that same service included.
For the first-order comparison, add confirmed required charges to the quoted product subtotal without counting included charges twice. Divide that subtotal by the agreed net product quantity only if the scope and denominator are clear. Keep repeat-order assumptions separate: do not assume a charge disappears on reorder unless the supplier confirms it.
06 · Payment and approval
Compare milestones as well as amounts.
Copy the offered payment milestones, timing, triggers and required approval records into the worksheet. Two prices may look alike while payment is requested at different stages. Make that distinction visible instead of reducing the entire proposal to a unit-cost ranking.
Confirm the inspection scope, who performs it, who pays any stated charge and which records support approval. Describe the sample, artwork and production decisions that must be completed before the next step. A quoted inspection service does not by itself guarantee product acceptance.
Record estimated production or dispatch timing with its dependencies, including sample approval, artwork completion and order confirmation where applicable. Distinguish a dispatch estimate from the date usable stock is required. Request a current schedule for the settled requirement rather than treating a preliminary estimate as a guaranteed lead time.
07 · Decision record
Resolve differences before negotiating a final shortlist.
Mark each row matched, different or pending. Matched means the scope agrees with the comparison requirement; different means an identified alternative or exclusion; pending means a material answer is missing. Ask suppliers to resolve differences in writing and retain the revised quotation reference.
Use three separate outputs: the original quoted amount, a comparable-scope subtotal built from confirmed inputs, and a list of unresolved scope or evidence items. If an essential input is missing, leave the comparable result pending. False precision does not become useful simply because it appears in a spreadsheet.
Review the product evidence and supplier controls beside the quotation. Decide whether to seek clarification, evaluate a sample, request a revised offer or proceed to the next defined approval step. Unimax pricing, product availability and commercial terms remain subject to the current quotation for your actual requirement.
Connect the price to product and supplier evidence.
Prepare a complete price request, check the offered specification, and review the supplier scorecard. A comparable quotation still needs the evidence relevant to your order.
Before selecting a quotation
Connect sample approval to the first commercial order when the product and quotation scope are ready for confirmation.
Can I compare a carton price with a tonne price?
Convert both using confirmed net charcoal mass, preserving the same product and commercial scope. Gross shipment weight is not the net product denominator.
Should missing charges be treated as zero?
No. Mark them pending and request clarification. A comparable total remains incomplete when a required cost or scope is unresolved.
Does the same grade name mean the same product?
No. Review the specification, dimensions, tolerances and identified sample evidence. Record alternatives separately.
Can the first-order comparison also represent repeat orders?
Only if the recurring scope is confirmed. Keep one-time charges and any conditional reorder terms separate rather than assuming they disappear.
