Private label shisha charcoal labeling checklist
Review label content before it becomes a printed commitment.
A design can be visually finished while its product facts and destination approvals remain unresolved. Use a field register that makes the evidence, reviewer and release decision explicit.

Confirm materials, print methods, MOQ, pack sizes, timelines and barcode support with the supplier. Destination-specific legal approval remains the buyer’s responsibility.
01 · Market and ownership
Assign destination approval before artwork release.
A private label shisha charcoal labeling checklist should begin with the intended country, sales channel and pack concept. Identify whether the reviewed item is a selling unit, an inner pack or a master carton. Record which text applies to each component instead of copying one label across the entire system.
The buyer is responsible for obtaining destination-specific legal approval through an appropriate reviewer. Assign that reviewer and retain the dated decision and its scope. Supplier confirmation of product facts or printing feasibility is a separate task.
This checklist identifies fields for review; it does not say that every listed field is legally mandatory in every market. Ask the designated reviewer to determine applicable requirements using current official information before releasing the label.
02 · Identity and quantity
Match the words to the actual product and selling unit.
Confirm the product name, charcoal type, intended application and any stated grade or cube dimension against the actual order requirement. Keep private-label brand identity distinct from the underlying product specification so a branding change does not silently change the fuel requirement.
Record the proposed net quantity and its unit for the identified selling pack. Keep net charcoal quantity separate from gross carton weight, inner-pack count and master-carton count. Ask the buyer’s market reviewer to approve the required expression and presentation.
Check the same identity and quantity across the copy master, artwork, sample and relevant order documents. If an unconfirmed pack size appears in the concept, mark it as a request and obtain feasibility confirmation before treating it as available.
03 · Origin and responsible company
Use verified facts and a defined company role.
Request supporting product information for the proposed origin wording rather than inferring origin from the shipping port, trader address or artwork language. Submit the wording to the buyer’s designated destination reviewer for approval.
Identify which company is being described and its role in the transaction: brand owner, importer, distributor, supplier or another confirmed role. Have the buyer approve the appropriate name, address and contact details for the intended market.
Do not swap company details between market versions without reviewing their meaning and applicability. Preserve the approved origin and company copy with a source reference and revision so later artwork edits do not introduce unsupported statements.
04 · Storage, instructions and warnings
Give these fields their own content and market review.
Draft requested storage and use information from confirmed product guidance and the intended application. Assign a qualified reviewer for any proposed warning or safety-related wording; a generic statement copied from another charcoal pack is not an approved instruction set.
This page does not supply a destination-specific warning formula or an operating procedure. The buyer’s reviewer should determine applicable content and approve both wording and presentation before the designer treats these fields as finished.
Check the final placed text for omissions, changed numbers, shortened sentences and legibility. A layout correction can change meaning even when the original copy master was approved. Keep unresolved instruction or warning content on hold.
05 · Lot codes and barcodes
Keep traceability and commercial identification distinct.
For the proposed lot field, define what record it links to, where it appears and who confirms the coding arrangement. Review legibility and matching across the relevant pack levels using an identified sample; do not publish proprietary coding formats to complete the label.
If a barcode is requested, assign the code owner, intended use, placement reviewer and verification scope. A barcode graphic on a mockup does not confirm that the code is correctly assigned or accepted by the buyer’s systems.
Confirm available coding and barcode support with the actual supplier or production contact. Record unsupported or unresolved requests rather than assuming that private-label service includes every coding method.
06 · Languages, claims and marks
Review each statement and symbol on its own evidence.
Assign language review for every intended language and check equivalence of product identity, quantities and other statements. Retain the approved translation and review the final layout, including where several languages share the same panel.
Build a claim register containing the exact proposed wording, evidence source, applicable product and approval owner. Performance, composition, environmental or certification statements should not be approved because they look familiar on a competitor’s pack.
Recycling or disposal marks need confirmation against the actual packaging components and intended market. Do not infer a material, recycling pathway or permission to use a symbol from a design concept. Route unsupported claims and marks back for review.
07 · Proof and release
Approve the exact market and packaging revision.
Use the field checklist to separate confirmed product facts, buyer market decisions and printer feasibility. Review the placed text on the identified proof against the approved copy master and keep unresolved fields visible.
The release record should name the country, SKU, pack component, artwork revision, market approval reference and responsible sign-off owner. Printer approval of a proof does not replace buyer legal approval, and legal copy approval does not establish print feasibility.
For repeat orders, check changes in product, market, quantity, languages, company roles, codes, materials and claims. A previous approval covers its documented scope; revise affected content and approvals before using it for a new configuration.
Private-label labeling questions
Are all these fields mandatory everywhere?
No. The buyer’s designated reviewer determines applicability for the intended market using current official information.
Does supplier or printer approval establish legal compliance?
No. Product fact confirmation, print feasibility and buyer destination approval are separate decisions.
Can claims be copied from another brand?
They should not be treated as approved without evidence for the actual product and the buyer’s market review.
Can the same label be reused for another country?
Only after reviewing changes in applicable content, languages, company roles and approval scope.
Send the market and packaging concept for review.
